It was to punch all four corners of about 80 pieces of cardstock. It was very, very difficult to use on card stock (which was not particularly thick). I had to press down really hard for each punch, and use it on the floor, not on a table, because of how hard I had to press.Eventually, after about 80 punches (20 cards), it would become so difficult to use that my fiancée would have to take over as I no longer had enough strength to push it. Then, the punch would eventually stop springing back, trapping the paper inside of it. I went through 3 of these to finish my save the dates, and it was quite the task. I really liked the design, and when it worked, it looked lovely. There was nothing on the package to indicate that it should not be used on cardstock. But sometimes, the punch does not work correctly. It leaves small pieces of paper uncut, which makes that corner of the paper unusable.
